Love of the Outdoor Environment
Through using the ethos of the “leave no trace”, participants will learn the 7 principles that have been developed to help educate and guide recreationists in sustainable minimum impact practices that mitigate or avoid recreation-related impacts. Although Leave No Trace has its roots in the backcountry and wilderness, the practices have been adapted so that they can be applied anywhere – from the backcountry to local parks, to your backyard – and for any recreational activity.

Social Skills
Participants will be in a “new place with new people”, a key component of our programs. Through interaction with their peers and the activity coaches, they will learn and develop skills that are important in social interaction as they grow up and also as they enter the world of Further Education and the Job Market.
Communication & Language
Camps & Programs are run bilingually, so participants will have the chance to not only communicate with staff in English and Chinese but to also challenge themselves in the activities where they will need to communicate with other participants to complete team activities.
Leadership
Continuing the outcomes from “Communication & Language” all participants will have a chance to develop their leadership qualities as they work in teams to complete the adventurous activities.
Risk Taking
We encourage participants to push themselves past their comfort zone and challenge themselves in a safe environment with the help of certified and experienced activity coaches.
Critical Thinking
Through the activities and periods of reflection, we aim to develop participants’ ability to improve the quality of their thinking by skilfully taking charge of the structures inherent in thinking and imposing intellectual standards upon them. A well-cultivated critical thinker,

· Gathers and assesses relevant information, uses abstract ideas to interpret it effectively, comes to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, and tests them against relevant criteria and standards.
· Thinks open-mindedly within alternative systems of thought, recognizes and assesses, as need be, their assumptions, implications, and practical consequences; and
· Communicates effectively with others in figuring out solutions to complex problems.
Teamwork
Again, through the activities and periods of reflection, we encourage participants to develop skills in which they can confidently work with others, providing useful and constructive advice to others whilst always fostering the idea of empathy for others.
Outdoor Enrichment Programs
The available programs have been developed to deliver a broad spectrum of experiences to enhance skills learnt in traditional classroom environments. We use the term ‘learning without walls’, skills learnt in the outdoors are directly relevant to day-to-day life as participants face and overcome challenges as a team and as an individual. Vital skills for their future.
