“The Adventure Company, a place where we are
passionate about the outdoors and nature.”
Delivering the highest standards in outdoor education with a sense of fun, challenge, and purpose.
We are dedicated to taking children away from their busy city lives into stunning environments. We use the outdoor environment and activities as personal development tools so participants can learn about themselves and grow as healthy and engaged young adults ready to face the world.
By concentrating on the outcome of activities rather than the activity, young people face challenges that will encourage personal development in areas such as social skills, communication, and language. Through the activities participants will discover that they can achieve more than they think by pushing themselves past their comfort zones. They will develop skills that are relevant to university admissions and future employment opportunities such as leadership, risk taking, critical thinking and teamwork.
Health, happiness, and self-awareness go hand in hand with learning new physical skills and building confidence in the face of challenges. We also hope that a new sport or hobby can lead to a much more fulfilling life in the future, not forgetting the major aim which is to have fun and enjoy life and new experiences.
From the age of 6 upwards participants develop new skills and resilience as they realise their potential to overcome the varied challenges. There are many camps offered in the market and you are probably thinking all camps get kids outdoors, hiking, swimming and yes most do. However, we are committed to making nature the focus of the experience, taking the emphasis of arts and crafts, coding colour wars for back to nature skills like wildlife tracking, hiking, trekking, survival skills, pioneering, convening with nature, self-reliance in nature.
In essence, we value the role of nature in the social and emotional development of children and courses are designed to foster that relationship between nature and child.
Let kids be kids, discovering the outdoors one mud-puddle, bird song or quiet sleep in the forest at a time. We believe that when a young person steps of the pavement into the natural world, they move toward a deeper understanding of themselves. Through the various programs we teach young people to be with the land, the water, and the sky, how to be with others and ultimately how do be with themselves.
Through activities – designed around established experimental education models – participants will have the opportunity to develop social skills, teamwork traits and leadership qualities that will transfer into everyday life
